There is a lot of content that I consume each week on topics such as design, web strategy, SEO, and productivity. Some of it is posted to my various social media channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google+. A few of those posts stand out more than the others. Here are some of last weeks favorites.
“3 Simple Questions That Changed My Life.” This can also be referred to as Start-Stop-Continue. It is a great tool for reflection on a project or an event or whatever. For a project it might be, What should we start doing next time we do this project. What should be stop doing next time we do this project. What went right and we should continue doing on this project.
“10 Years of Silence: How Long It Took Mozart, Picasso and Kobe Bryant to Be Successful.” I know there is a lot of controversy around the idea that it takes 10 years of practice to be an expert. This was popularized by Malcolm Gladwell in his book Outliers. While I can see how that would ring true, deliberate practice is the that that really separates those who are truly special from the rest of us.
I have been surprised how popular Pinterest has become in the past year. It has driven more traffic to clients websites than I would have imagined. If you are looking for ways to optimize your Pinterest account, here are “7 Pinterest Marketing Tips to Improve Your Visibility.”
