Shades Cahaba Oral History Project Podcast

Classes started at Shades Cahaba High School in 1920 and has continuously served students in Homewood and other over-the-mountain communities for 100 years. This project was started to record the memories of those that attended and worked at Shades Cahaba and those that just have a great story to tell. Instead of just recording memories, we decided to produce a podcast to share with anyone who is interested in the Shades Cahaba and the Homewood, AL area. 

Each episode is produced in one of two ways. Either as an interview with someone who has a connection with Shades Cahaba such as principals, teachers and former students. Or we take a subject and tell that story. 

We produce each episode from top to bottom. We write, interview, edit, and finally broadcast each episode.
